Previous Work

This Promotional Video was created for Worcester Swimming Club.

The task was to show the caring but dedicated group of juniors, that have worked hard in order to get the medals and titles that they have recieved.

I worked on both above and underwater cinematography, I purposely captured their skills in the water along with there personality on the surface. The Swimming club committee thought it so inspiring they want another for there younger groups.

The camera's used are a Cannon XA10 and A Gopro Hero3+ black edition.

This video was a task, for my Underwater filmaker course. I was given two days to create a storyboard and then make it come to life. The point of this task was allowing my tutor to see how I am able to create high quality work while under pressure. It also pushed my boundaries with a larger, professional Camera.

My target was to create a flowing piece of underwater production sticking to the storyboard I developped. As you can see there are no jump cuts. a simple but effective journey of a dive.

The equipment used was a Z1 in a Gates Housing equipment, biggest and most incredible camera I have worked with so far. I was the cinematographer and the editor

PLAY ME

My skills dont stop at cinematography. I know my way around sound equipment such as, tascams, various mics, hydrophones and Soundtrack Pro. This was a task set to create any soundscape. I chose to develop an underwater soundscape from scrap. Sounds simple enough, though to push my abbillities I created it using above sounds and editing them in post production.

The bubbles from breathing where made from a milk carton being pushed into a sink full of water. The wildtrack that sounds like fish tapping at coral is a crackling fire. The shark surrounding the diver is me blowing into a metal pipe. The Whale? well it was a sheep of course...

All this was achievable by adding base, reverb and changing the channel E.Q to make it sound submerged.

00:00 / 00:00

This is the first documentary I have ever done. I am proud to have it on my website. This expository documentary shows the history highlights of diving apparatus. Within this production I was a shooting producing director, this made it the most challenging production I have ever worked on.

The love of diving kept me working even when faced with obstacles. This was inpired by David Attenboroughs work on, well, everything he has done in the past! sticking with the conventional style of Exposiry Documentary with the "voice of Authority".

This is all of my favourite shots wrapped into just 3 minutes. it includes my work on Worcester Swimming club, Scuba Dive, Dangers of the Deep and Dont Forget to Breath. in all of these shots, i am the above and underwater cindematographer.

This is the second promotional video made for Worcester Swimming Club. the target is to promote the lower stages their club such as level 0, improvers and pre-competitiors. We hoped to entise children to want to go swimming by showing the carefree but effective techniques used to develope swimming skills.

The equipment used was a C100, Gopro 3 and 4 and a tascam with NTG2 mic.

This short Performative Documentary looks into a world that hasnt been documented before. It delves into the tragedies of divers life threatening past incidents. Using interviews and re-enactments it captures the emotion and horror that can easily happen while Scuba diving.

This is my very first project filmed with my new Canon DSLR 7D Mark II and Sigma Wide angle 20mm lense. This isnt my only time lapse but this is the only one I would show. The one before this was more of a guinea pig on how the camera needed to be set. This took 2 hours to film on a 30sec interval, peferct for a smooth transaction.
